1:20 PM Do Orthodontists Need To Have a Blog? |
Today, I'm going to answer another question I get a lot from orthodontists. "Should I have a blog?" I don't know how to make this answer any clearer. YES. Emphatically, yes. The reason I say emphatically yes, is because the ability to optimize a blog to improve search engine results is really unparalleled. When you create your posts, you can attach specific keywords and keyword phrases to the post that you are placing on your blog and have specific, focused pages just for those keywords. Then, when somebody is looking for an orthodontist in your area, you might have two or three posts that are associated with those keywords they used to search for your website. Now, if you haven't seen it, I posted a quick little video on my blog, BrianJDevine.com to show the results that I was getting using my blog and video marketing strategy. In a matter of just a few weeks, I was able to go from zero results on the search engines, to capturing three spots on page one of Google for two of the keywords on which I focused. So, I'm not yet the top spot but I'm working on it. But, the important part here is that, in a manner of weeks, I was able to control three out of the ten spaces on that first page for the keywords that I was targeting. So, how am I doing it? I'm utilizing blog marketing and video marketing. Again should you have a blog? The answer is absolutely yes. Find a way to do it. If you don't have someone on staff that can help you make that happen, outsource it. Use a company that can do it for you. There are a lot of ways for you to make that happen. But you can certainly do it on your own. And, remember to have a lot of fun with it. It's all about the conversation between you and everyone that thinks that they might need orthodontics. You might be the solution so you want to make it very easy for them to find you. Hopefully, that answers your question about whether or not you need a blog.
