1:31 PM Get Swarms of Readers Loving Your Content: Blog Marketing Magic |
So many new bloggers get discouraged when weeks (or months) pass, and their blog still hasn't generated the thousands of readers they'd hoped for. Get active in forums, and don't be afraid to socialize. Become known, and get to know people- make some friends. Remember to set up your profile, like your picture, name, the "about you" section, and most importantly- your signature. As a norm, your signature consists of a quick blurb or phrase and a link to your site (your blog). Don't spam every post you find, saying "Hey look at my site!"- just get involved with conversations. Each post you make leaves a backlink to your blog. When you seem to know what you're talking about, people (and search engines) will follow your backlinks. Try to find the most popular forums in the niche you are writing about. To find them, just go over to Google and search for your niche keyword plus вЂforum’ and you should get a list. Try to find forums with at least a few thousand active members. Here's a way to use trackbacks and pingbacks (and you thought they were useless, didn't you). What these do is notify blog owners when they're linked to. So you link to them as you post, and they (some of their own readers too) come to see what's being said. If they like what they see on your blog, they'll be back to read some more. Suppose you do this with well-established blogs, with high popularity... that's a lot of people coming to see what you had to say (and could mean a lot of readers). Leave comments on other people's blogs every chance you get. That doesn't mean spam them- take a moment to read their post, and say something relevant. Usually, you can leave a backlink in your comment, and people (search engines too) will follow those right to your blog. Like the forums, stick with high ranking, highly-trafficked, and relevant blogs. The biggest thing to do is to keep posting on your blog. Your readers will constantly want something new to read- not the same stuff that's been there for a month. Fresh new content is crucial to a good steady readership. Now if you follow these few rules, then you should be well on the way to getting a constant readership for your blog. It's also possible to put some blogging tasks on autopilot to free up some time to work on massive traffic... Jeromy is always searching for ways to help fellow Internet Marketers become more efficient, more effective, and reap more benefit from their ventures.
